About ActiViews

Updated on

ActiViews is an independent buying-guide site about mini PCs, the small desktop computers that sit beside a monitor or tuck behind it.

We write for people who want a home computer that just works: for email, photos, video calls, bills, spreadsheets and the family's everyday browsing.

You don't need to know computer jargon to use our guides. We explain words like processor, RAM, SSD and HDMI in plain terms the first time they come up.

What we cover

Our guides compare mini PCs from makers like Beelink, GEEKOM, GMKtec, ACEMAGIC, Bosgame and Kamrui. We sort them by the job you have in mind, the budget you set and the model you're weighing.

We also answer the questions people ask before they buy, like how a mini PC compares with a tower or a Mac mini. And we help with the desk around it: monitors, TVs, speakers and memory upgrades.

How we put guides together

We read each computer's specs, ports and the maker's own details, and we look at what buyers often report after months of use. Then we write it up in everyday words, with clear picks and honest trade-offs.

Our How we research page explains the process step by step.

What we don't do

We don't make, sell or repair computers. No maker pays us to rank its products, and we aren't affiliated with any brand we write about.

We don't claim to have tested every computer ourselves. When we pick one, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.

How the site earns money

Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That never decides which computers we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
